One of the most meaningful and developmental work opportunities on campus can be found within The Office of Service-Learning & Civic Engagement. If you enjoy community engagement and helping students connect to great service opportunities, our office could be your new homebase on campus. Fifteen unique in-office paid (OPS) opportunities exist ranging from Office Assistant to Eagle Link Coordinator to Event Coordinator and more. Whether you need a great entry-level job or a place to develop and polish your leadership abilities, we have a role for you!
In addition to our OPS positions, we also provide unique opportunities for students with Federal Work Study funding to use their award while working for one of our local nonprofit or government agency partners. In-person office assistant positions and virtual math/literacy tutoring positions exist with partners across the region. Students can verify their Federal Work Study award by checking Gulfline, contacting FGCU Financial Aid & Scholarships, or by submitting your information.
- Math and Literacy Tutor (10 positions available – requires FWS award)
- Description: This position requires you to have been awarded federal work study monies for the 2021-2022 academic year. This position allows students to serve with non-profit or government agencies as tutors and earn their FWS award.
- Salary Range: $10.00 per hour
- Hours per week: 9
- Location: Various community partner locations – requires own transportation
- Start Date: ASAP
