FGCU Board of Trustees Data

Institutional Research provides regular analysis and data for quarterly, annual and ad hoc data reports to the FGCU Board of Trustees, to aid in planning, decision making and reporting to the State of Florida Board of Governors. Quarterly Briefings for recent Academic Years are included here:

Other reports, such as the most current FGCU Accountability Report and University Workplans (and historical Reports), are available on the BOG website, or click the links for the current reports.

Institutional Research is responsible for regular reports to the State of Florida Board of Governors and submits data to the State University System (SUS) for performance metrics and accountability. A complete listing of that data is found on the IR Resources page.

Common Data Set

Institutional Research maintains a Common Data Set (CDS), which contains standardized data about FGCU and is available to numerous publications, surveys, and general inquiries as well as the U.S. Department of Education. The common data set allows students, families and the media to research and evaluate secondary educational institutions on a comparable basis. 

The CDS includes annual information about admissions and enrollment, tuition and expenses, graduation rates, faculty and class size, financial aid, student life and available degrees.

IPEDS

IPEDS data is submitted annually to the National Center for Education Statistics, US Department of Education. The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System collects data from over 7,500 U.S. postsecondary educational institutions on student enrollment, graduation rates, program completions, faculty, staff, and finances.

These data are used at the federal and state level for policy analysis and development; at the institutional level for benchmarking and peer analysis; and by students and parents in the college search process. Below are the most current IPEDS Reports for FGCU:

2022 - 2023 IPEDS FGCU Data

In addition to the eleven separate IPEDS reports, NCES uses the submitted data to prepare a Data Feedback Report for FGCU, providing selected comparison between FGCU and comparable universities. More information is available at the IPEDS website.
