Applications Open Soon for State 2026 Weight Management and Diabetes Management Program
Dear Employees,
To help improve the long-term health and quality of life for employees enrolled in the State Group Health Insurance plans, the Florida Department of Management Services will offer the Weight Management Program and the Diabetes Management Program for the 2026 plan year.
Members of the Weight Management Program are eligible for coverage of FDA-approved weight management medications and a wellness program.
The Diabetes Management Program provides coverage of a glucose monitor with real-time feedback and emergency outreach services, testing strips and related supplies, as well as live coaching with a certified diabetes educator.
How to apply:
The application period for the 2026 Weight Management and Diabetes Management Programs is open November 3-17. To apply, the applicant’s healthcare provider will need to complete the 2026 Provider Referral Form. The applicant will then sign and submit the form to the Weight Management or Diabetes Management webpages.

As part of your benefits, all FGCU employees have access to complimentary financial guidance through CAPTRUST, an independent advisory firm dedicated to helping you achieve your financial goals.
CAPTRUST provides personalized support and resources to help you plan for both short and long-term financial success, including:
- Independent investment and retirement planning advice
- Strategies for managing and reducing debt
- Tools to build and maintain savings at every career stage
To learn more, FGCU employees can sign up for a one-on-one, in-person advisory appointment with a CAPTRUST financial advisor. Appointments are 45 minutes long and options are available between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. October 21–22 at the Wilson G. Bradshaw Library, Room 431.

To prepare for your session, please make sure you have the information you want to include in your Blueprint calculations, such as retirement account balances and current contributions to retirement accounts. You will also want to bring your login information for your retirement accounts.

2026 Open Enrollment Begins October 13 & Employee Benefits Fair is October 16
Open enrollment for the state-sponsored health and welfare plans begins today.
The open-enrollment period runs from October 13 to October 31, and provides employees the opportunity to review benefit options and make changes for the 2026 plan year.
Changes made during open enrollment will take effect on January 1, 2026.

Through individual, 45-minute advisory appointments, FGCU employees can discuss retirement, general financial planning, investment education and advice. Employees may also create a Retirement Blueprint, CAPTRUST’s interactive retirement readiness tool.
