Support For a Healthier Mind and Body

Physical and emotional well-being contribute to your success in work and in life. Our programs and resources encourage employees to learn more about taking better care of themselves and making positive lifestyle choices.

The FGCU Employee Wellness committee aims to establish and maintain a worksite that encourages environmental and social support for a healthy lifestyle. We promote and encourage wellness practices for faculty and staff through education and programs.


Mindfulness Monday

Take care of your mind and your body. Practice breathing, body scan, and other easy techniques to improve your productivity and quality of life. Mindfulness sessions are held during the noon hour throughout the year.

Introduction to Mindfulness - 20 minute introduction session, perfect for beginners

Guided Mindfulness - 30 minute, instructor led session

Self-Guided Mindfulness - 30 minute, self led session

Mindfulness & Movement - 15 minutes of meditation, 15 minutes of stretching

Yoga wellness

Wind Down Wednesday

Wind down and relieve some stress during our yoga sessions - all ages and abilities are welcome.

Yoga is held at the end of the day, 5:15 PM, on the Library Lawn.

*Please bring your own mat or towel.

Lunchtime Wellness Speaker Series

Join us throughout the year for our lunchtime wellness speaker series.

Experts will discuss and bring awareness to Mental Health topics.

Virtual sessions will be held during the noon hour the third Thursday of the month.

Fall Into Fitness Friday

Start your morning with a walk through our beautiful campus. This 30-minute walk will boost your mood, give you time to practice self care and increase your energy levels. 

Join us at 7:15 AM at Veteran's Pavilion on the Library Lawn.
