Medical Humanities Minor

The Medical Humanities minor at FGCU is an interdisciplinary program for students interested in questions related to human health and illness or who aim to pursue careers in healthcare, medical education, or clinical practice.

The minor draws on diverse disciplines in the humanities (philosophy, literature, history, and religion), social sciences (anthropology, political science, psychology, and sociology), natural sciences (biology), and health sciences to help students better understand the meaning of sickness, illness, and aging and their effects on individuals, health care professionals, and communities as a whole.
