The Digital Learning team supports FGCU’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence in teaching and learning across all modalities. Faculty partner with our Instructional Designers and Instructional Technologists to address a specific teaching challenge, improve an assignment or module, explore an educational technology, redesign an entire course, or meet university requirements. We partner with program leaders to address requirements and manageable improvements to create program wide engaging and effective learning experiences for students.

Instructional Designers
FGCU’s Instructional Designers bring experience in teaching, learning, course design, assessment, and accessibility. They serve as collaborative thought partners who can help faculty examine what students need to learn, identify barriers or challenges, and select practical strategies that fit the faculty member’s teaching style, course, and goals. They are available for consultations, course designs, professional development, and exploration.
Instructional Technologists
FGCU’s Instructional Technologists help faculty confidently and purposefully use Canvas and other educational technologies across all course modalities. They are available for consultations, training, troubleshooting, and practical guidance to help faculty learn new technologies, use existing technology and features more effectively, and evaluate whether a technology is appropriate for a particular need.
