It can be daunting to begin building your course in Canvas from scratch. Don't worry! There are many options for course templates available to use in Canvas.

The Instructional Design team has developed templates with a collection of content to import into your Canvas course. The templates are available for you to take what you want, change it up, and use it however it fits your situation. These templates can be imported from Canvas Commons.

Canvas Community Course Design Essentials
The Canvas Community offers many ideas and free resources to implement in your own course. You can explore the community and download/import templates for free. You can also review design tips, create graphics, and more. All templates are built with Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Canvas best practices in mind.
