PCI Compliance

PCI Compliance

Developed by the Payment Card Industry Standards Security Council (PCI-SSC), Payment Card Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) are technical and operational requirements set by the PCI-SSC. PCI-DSS applies to all entities storing, processing or transmitting cardholder data, along with requirements for software developers and manufacturers of applications and devices used in the transactions. While the PCI-SSC is responsible for managing the security standards, compliance is enforced by Visa Inc, Mastercard, American Express, Discover Financial Services and JCB.

Financial Information Systems and Compliance manages the University's PCI Compliance to ensure cardholder data used in transactions is protected and secured.
