Student Spotlight of the Week
I love seeing them work so hard to accomplish their goals and do things they never thought they'd ever do!
Our #StudentSpotlight this week goes to second year Physical Therapy student, Jessica Reyes. Jessica is originally from Navarre, Florida and attended UCF for her undergrad. She chose physical therapy because she believes it can open many opportunities for people and restore what they thought was lost. Jessica enjoys working with kids, stating “I love seeing them work so hard to accomplish their goals and do things they never thought they’d ever do!” For the past 4 years, Jessica has been working at a school for children with motor disabilities where they learn and work on everything from academic skills to walking, sitting up, and even dancing. When she’s not hitting the books, Jessica enjoys dancing, playing basketball, and working out. She’s also been involved in a few Filipino basketball leagues, which is where she met her first PT mentor. During quarantine she’s been at home with her family, something she is very thankful for as she doesn’t normally get to spend time at home during the school year!
