LEARN MORE

This program offers a balanced approach to accounting and taxation. Many jobs that will exist 5 to 10 years from now do not exist today. Thus, the focus is not just on advanced technical competence in accounting and/or taxation, the effective use of technology in research and practice, effective communications with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders of diverse backgrounds, and ethical responsibilities but also on the development of life-long learning skills to maintain professional competence.

Students may also elect a concentration in analytics. The analytics concentration includes courses in Business Analytics, Big Data and Data Mining, Business Intelligence (BI) and Visualization.

Tuition

We recognize that attending graduate school is a significant investment of time and money. At FGCU, we want to ensure that cost is not an obstacle for you and your professional ambitions. According to U.S. News and World Report, the national average cost of a Master's degree in Accounting ranges from $24,000 to $72,000.

The total cost for FGCU's online MS in Accounting and Taxation program is approximately $11,202 (30 credits, $373.38 per credit). Traditionally, this cost was reserved for Florida residents only, however all non-Florida residents that start this Fall (2021) will receive an out-of-state tuition waiver. This means all applicants will pay the in-state cost (373.38 vs. $1,300.66 per credit), adding up to a savings over $27,800 for out-of-state students.
