2026 Business Assessment Results Highlight Academic Excellence at Lutgert College of Business

In Spring 2026, 438 Lutgert College of Business graduating seniors completed the ETS Business Major Field Test, with several programs ranking among the top 10% nationally. Highlights include Accounting (top 1%), Economics and Quantitative Economics (top 2%), Finance (top 3%), and Information Systems (top 7%). Results were compared against a national benchmark of 67,824 students from 344 universities, highlighting academic strengths and informing continuous curriculum improvement.

The Southwest Florida Leadership Institute (SFLI) at Florida Gulf Coast University continues its rapid growth, announcing several significant organizational partnerships that reinforce its position as Southwest Florida’s premier provider of evidence-based leadership development. Over the past year, SFLI has secured a series of multi-year and multi-cohort agreements with leading healthcare organizations, luxury hospitality brands, nonprofit organizations, and private employers. Together, these partnerships represent a growing regional investment in developing leaders equipped to navigate increasingly complex workplaces. Among the Institute’s newest initiatives is a two-year leadership development agreement with Lee Health, one of Florida’s largest public health systems.

The Worthington Golf and Country Club community came together during their annual Closing Scramble on April 25, 2026, to support Eagles Fore FGCU, raising $6,200 for the program. Located in Southwest Florida, Worthington Golf and Country Club is a member owned golf community known for its active lifestyle, championship course, and strong sense of community engagement. With 230 participants, this year’s total more than doubled last year’s contribution and reflects a growing investment in student success.
