Master's in Accounting and Taxation
Count on even bigger things happening
The Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation (M.S.) program prepares students for careers in accounting and taxation.
This program offers a balanced approach to accounting and taxation. Many jobs that will exist 5 to 10 years from now do not exist today. Thus, the focus is not just on advanced technical competence in accounting and/or taxation, the effective use of technology in research and practice, effective communications with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders of diverse backgrounds, and ethical responsibilities but also on the development of life-long learning skills to maintain professional competence.
Students may also elect a concentration in analytics. The analytics concentration includes courses in Business Analytics, Big Data and Data Mining, Business Intelligence (BI) and Visualization.
Synchronous Online or Face-to-Face
Tthe MSA&T program can be completed in either the traditional face-to-face format or the synchronous online format. Courses will continue to be delivered in the traditional classroom for a face-to-face experience and will also be delivered online (via live streaming) for students to attend in synchronous online mode. Students may choose to take all or some courses in the face-to-face format and the rest of the courses online. Students may also choose to take all courses online.
