Dr. Nusair arrives in Fort Myers after serving in impressive academic and leadership roles, including Chair and Professor in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, and Head of the Marketing Department and later Assistant Dean at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. His career in academia began at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, and he earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
Beyond his leadership, Dr. Nusair is a prolific and active scholar, with his research widely cited in hospitality and tourism literature. He serves on the editorial boards of several prominent journals, shaping the direction of hospitality research and contributing to the global conversation on marketing, tourism, and consumer behavior.
Dr. Nusair joins SRHM at a time of growth and renewal. With a new curriculum designed to meet industry needs and the program’s ongoing mission to prepare graduates for impactful careers, his leadership will accelerate SRHM’s visibility, relevance, and impact in both the region and beyond.
