The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marketing prepares students for careers in marketing by developing their understanding of the social and economic forces at work in national and global markets.
The marketing major focuses on enhancing the knowledge and skills that enable managers to develop and maintain successful relationships with consumers and organizational customers through the planning, implementation, and control of marketing activities. The program emphasizes the use of analytical and environmental analyses to engage in strategic market planning, market segmentation, and competitive positioning. The program also covers the strategic implications of consumer behavior, product development and branding, promotion, pricing, and distribution channels.
Concentrations Offered:
Business Development & Sales Concentration
This concentration prepares students for careers centered on revenue growth, sales
strategy, and customer relationship management. Through coursework in sales force
management, advanced professional selling, and customer relationship management, students
develop skills in client acquisition, negotiation, sales leadership, and managing
long-term customer relationships in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer
markets.
Digital Marketing Strategy Concentration
This concentration prepares students to plan, execute, and evaluate integrated digital
marketing efforts across multiple platforms. Through coursework in digital marketing
strategy, social media marketing, and marketing analytics, students develop skills
in campaign planning, content creation, audience targeting, and performance measurement.
Graduates are equipped to manage digital channels strategically to support brand growth
and customer engagement.
Marketing Analytics & AI Concentration (STARTING FALL 2026)
This concentration focuses on data-driven marketing decision making and the application
of artificial intelligence in marketing. Courses in AI-powered marketing, marketing
analytics, and customer relationship management teach students how to analyze customer
data, leverage AI tools, and translate insights into effective marketing strategies.
Students gain practical experience using analytics and AI to optimize marketing performance
and strengthen customer relationships.
