- Dr Thomas Beatty - Department of Mathematics
Dr. Thomas Beatty, Professor of Mathematics at FGCU, teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in analysis, algebra, and problem-solving. A founding member of the master’s program, he emphasizes analytical and interdisciplinary thinking. His research explores polynomial reducibility, and he is completing a book on problem-solving for De Gruyter-Brill.
- Jennifer Macbeth - Department of Integrated Studies
Jennifer Macbeth, Senior Instructor in Integrated Studies at FGCU, teaches sustainability and environmental courses. She emphasizes civic engagement and critical thinking through fieldwork, service learning, and group projects. She co-developed FGCU’s first fully online Colloquium and created the Canvas blueprint for the Degree Complete program.
- Dr. Krystal Mize - Department of Psychology
Dr. Mize, Assistant Professor of Psychology at FGCU, teaches developmental psychology and brain science. She emphasizes critical thinking and communication, mentors undergraduates in her research lab, and uses EEG and behavioral observation technology. She is a Fellow of the Honors College and affiliated with the Shady Rest Institute.
- Dr. Peng Feng - Department of Mathematics
Dr. Feng, a Mathematics Professor at FGCU since 2005, focuses on applied mathematics and dynamic systems across biology and environmental science. He promotes student engagement and critical thinking, mentors students, and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration, enriching FGCU’s intellectual community through both teaching and research.
- Tyler Gibson - Department of Communications and Philosophy
Tyler Gibson, an FGCU alumnus, is an Instructor in Communication and Philosophy. Since 2023, he has emphasized student learning, instructional innovation, and inclusive teaching. He teaches Public Speaking and Effective Speaking, focusing on flexible, engaging approaches that support student growth in communication skills across disciplines.
